Salisbury firm wins second Silver at Hampton Court Flower Show

Late last night, on the eve of the opening day, the Judges at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show announced their awards and The Down to Earth Partners Ltd (DTEP Ltd) won a second Silver for their design 'Convergence of the Elements'.
The garden, designed by Matt Rideout of Art Outside, provides a counterpoint between the sleek geometric planes of stainless steel planters and luscious planting. The garden expresses three of the four elements with its dark and mysterious triangular pool spanned by a wide plank bridge of solid oak, riot of fiery planting (including Crocosmia, Helenium and varied grasses) and cool stack of greys and greens provided by chamomile, santolina and Mind-your-own-business. A centrally planted copper acer stands proudly reflecting in the pool, wonderfully underplanted with the black grass Ophiopogan planiscapus ‘Nigrescens.’
Design in Stainless were commissioned to make the bespoke planters; Knoll Gardens supplied grasses from their outstanding collection and Aquaflex, Sherborne Turf and Simali Stone provided the other elements to this locally-sourced winning design.
